Good. Too many people in the world.

Unless they're still breeding as much as they do in relationships.

Actually you want to retain population numbrs in countries with a good education system (which ideally should be all countries but we're clearly still a long way from that). It maximises the possibility of technical or scientific solutions to future world problems.

In other terms, white (and some East Asian) people should continue to reproduce.

Maybe start a birth-control campaign in the third-world countries and the ghettos/immigrant areas of Europe and the US, then?

DA

Don't be a dick. Other anon just said well-educated countries should reproduce, not that others shouldn't.

From my understanding, providing reliable birth control to women in third-world countries (the ones who suffer the most from overpopulation) is one of the best ways to improve the general quality of life. Fewer kids means women have more opportunities to get an education and jobs, which...leads to a better education system and less poverty in those countries? So...yeah, starting a birth-control campaign is actually a good thing.

Actually just providing birth control doesn't work, because women won't use it if the benefits from having children outweigh the drawbacks, if they have too much pressure from their husband/his family and no ability to choose against their wishes, or nothing else to do in their society save have kids. Rural India still has an enormous problem with this despite the widespread availability of birth control through aid and governmental organizations for this reason.

Education and empowerment of women makes the birthrate crash, which leads to better general quality of life because educated and empowered women choose to have fewer children almost every time.

I mean I think both must be done in concert. Access to birth control and sex education coupled with education and empowerment is important.

But yeah, you make very good points.
