Mm, as someone that's dabbled in quite a few of the mega-fandoms, I do have to say that SPN really is worse about hijacking posts and making it about them. There's the whole running joke of "we literally have a gif for EVERYTHING", and well...they really try to prove that point over and over and over again.

Of course, the other ones do it too, but I really feel like SPN stands head and shoulders above the rest of them regarding the behavior.

From what I have seen, Supernatural used to be the frontrunner. But (at least for me) Sherlock has become a lot more prevalent about jumping onto posts. But maybe I follow more people who like Sherlock? Not sure anymore.

I feel like SPN does it more just because they have so much more content to pull from. Plus it seems to have a larger fanbase, or at least a more consistent one.

The unfollow button can be a blessing.

(And with how often I advocate it, I'm surprised I still follow anybody. I either have found the 500 non-assholes on the site or I'm more tolerant of bullshit than I thought....)
