This is pretty much the opposite of how Clara comes across to me.

And because you mentioned it, I fucking hate how Rose acts towards other companions, it started with Sarah Jane but then it popped up again when she was all, MEEEEEEEEEE in that ep where the Daleks move the Earth. Or whatever happened.

I never liked that about Rose, either.

This is why Rose is my least favorite of RTD era (I don't hate her, she's just at the bottom of the list.) He jealousy was not cute and I really dislike writing that tries to make certain companions more important/special then others (see also: one reason I hate River Song.)

Rose was cool in series 1 but her attitude started to wear on me in series 2 onward.

It didn't help that they kept her after her arc was done. She was pretty much played out by the end of Age of Steel and the Doctor should have left her in the alt-universe then. Everything after that was just character assassination for her and for the Doctor. And the least said about her subsequent appearances the better. I don't know what RTD was thinking, it was bad storytelling.

AYRT. I was fine with her staying until the end of series 2 but it shouldn't have gone beyond that. Doomsday should have been her sad ending, her appearances afterward really made that episode mean nothing in retrospect, which yeah, was bad storytelling.

I might have been okay with her coming back in Turn Left and/or that glimpse of her pre-9 in 10's last episode. But they should have kept her in that other universe otherwise. I know RTD wanted to do something super fun with all his companions, but it just didn't work story wise.

gotta disagree. her story arch was wonderful, culminating to her being a competent torchwood agent, basically a doctor on her own right.

also, she got a resolution for her story with the doctor. if they had left her in the alt!world, there wouldn't have been no resolution for her story, at all.

your emotional intelligence is comparable to that of a turnip if you cannot tell between jealousy and frustration (re: the dalek move the earth ep).

omg serIOUSLY? SO LET'S SAY YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE DOCTOR FOR FOREVER NOW BECAUSE YOU LOST HIM AND THE WORLD IS FUCKING ENDING (WHICH IS KINDA SETTING A FUCKING TIME LIMIT FOR IT) AND YOU ALWAYS A L W A Y S MISSED HIM BY A LITTLE, A MINUTE OR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN THERE HE IS, FINALLY, TALKING WITH EVERYONE ELSE AND YOU C A N N O T GET THROUGH, AFTER EVERYTHING AND... YOU'RE TOTALLY FINE WITH IT? Not even a liIIIttle bit annoyed or frustrated at the situation, honestly? Of course not because you're apparently a fucking saint who doesn't know the feeling.
