That takes a lot of research to figure out which ones are safe and not everyone has the technical know how on how to use them or feel comfortable.

If you're so freaked out about privacy that you can't handle IP logging, then one would think you'd take the time to do something like that. The burden's kind of on you, here.

Not everyone knows how to judge what is reputable, and anybody can got to a forum and say a shady site isn't.

At this point, you are basically just fishing for excuses to not do things.

Yes, I can just imagine you.

"In this forum there are 10 people saying this proxy is a scam, but this one dude claims it's the best thing since sliced bread - must mean it's alright!"

I'm not the same anon that's been freaking out about IP logging being on. I've casually looked into proxy servers and VPNs and found it all very confusing. I'm not acquainted with many technical terms, so a lot of the terminology is alienating. I'd rather stay on the safe side than accidentally give strangers access to my computers. I agree that burden is on me, but do realize that this sort of stuff is very confusing for some of us.

Also the anon, saying that not everyone knows how to judge what is reputable is not me. Pretty much everyone is capable, but if they're willing to give it the time sink necessary to make an informed decision is another matter.
