I'm pretty sure I've made quite a few enemies this year. Don't really give a fuck, though I question why they care.

They care because you're here. You're a person they could interact with, so they have to make a choice whether to interact with you or not. It's really not that big a deal. It's the same feeling that makes people start friendships or not start friendships.

IDK, I created a named account specifically because I was tired of being anon when I had things to say that were contrary to the popular or were maybe not the friendliest after someone says something ignorant and stupid.

But then that name became part of my identity and people recognized me, and I didn't want to be seen on the "bad side."

People don't want to talk to people they don't like. I know I've got at least one named user here I will avoid like the plague and another I limit my interactions with because I think they're patronizing assholes, but I also recognize that's probably an unfair judgment based on only a handful of experiences. I wouldn't want people to judge me that way, but obviously I know how easy it is to do the judging. So sometimes I go anon still.

I post anon very, very rarely (pretty much only when I'm making a TMI thread, which has happened only two or three times, or on the anon memes, and maybe a couple exceptions I've forgotten). So I get where you're coming from - for me, going anon feels pointless. But it's partly my personality. Some people don't feel as comfortable doing that as I do, and that's their call.

As for "the bad side", there are DEFINITELY opinions that will get people here to dislike you, and continue disliking you even post-thread. Maybe not every contrary opinion ever, but there are some, yeah.

I guess for me it's just, that's how F!S works and that's how it always has. /shrug

I do it much more similarly to the way you do it, but not everyone does. And I tend to just address each comment(er) on its/their own merits anyway.

I guess the problem is that at the en of the day I don't fundamentally have a lot of confidence.
