Re: CAUTION: IP LOGGING IS ON.
Now I'm wondering if you're one of those trolls. :|a
(also, I really do not feel like my privacy is being violated by this, even if I were commenting anon, seeing as how in the entire history of f!s Case has never shared anyone's IPs or sold them to anyone or anything like that)
Re: CAUTION: IP LOGGING IS ON.
(This is why when people say that, I encourage them to start up their own community - this one just ISN'T being handed over, not with all the stuff it has in it.)

Re: CAUTION: IP LOGGING IS ON.
There's nothing that can legally bind me not to tell, but they're trusting it doesn't go any further, and I'm not going to let it, so yeah.
Re: CAUTION: IP LOGGING IS ON.
(Anonymous) 2014-09-11 12:04 am (UTC)(link)Vis a vis the logging, I do post when it's on (though not all the time; last week was a bad week; nothing to do with FS, just my own personal heebie jeebies), and, OK, confession here: sometimes I do wake up in the middle of the night and go..."Yeeeeeeah that wasn't the smartest thing to say when logging was on, now was it Paranoid!Anon??" but other than a few eyelid twitches, here and there, I have mostly come to grips with posting, on FS, when IP logging is on.
Let me explain why.
Case's stance on this, as stated above, is exactly why I trust being able to post here when IP logging is on. Yeah, yeah, I'm a sucker for someone who rescues kittens, and am probably stupid, and am probably going to pay like hell for it one day from now, but you know what? It's like this.
At the end of the day, my IP address is geolocated way far away from me, and anyone doing the amount of legwork required to track me, across ALL the IP addresses I have ever had, AND through ALL the physical places I've lived...well, I will already be having other problems with someone like that, in the first place. Though I came close, once (which is WHY I am Paranoid!Anon), and yeah there are people from my church who want my head on a pike, so that's part of it. (Although my family members were physically tracking me at that point, they didn't use the Net/my IP at all. Being tracked by my IP was so low on my priority list at that point, it was underground.)
AFAIK, no one I know IRL or even online outside of FS (I don't run in fandom circles outside of here) even has a clue that I'm on here. So connecting the dots would only happen under a perfect storm of circumstances, that is even less likely to happen, than my being struck by lightning.
TL;DR: I am Paranoid!Anon and I fully endorse the security of posting on Fandomsecrets when IP logging is turned on.
