Seems like there's been a lot of depressing stuff in the news recently, and tomorrow is a pretty somber day as well. So, what are some things that have cheered you up lately?

The doctor's appointment I had today that I was worried about went really well. I wasn't happy with the last specialist I saw but this guy was a lot better.

I also have plans to spend time with three different friends on Friday. It's going to be a busy, happy day.

All the cute little kids I see at work when I'm checking out groceries. They're all so adorable looking. I especially like when I can talk or even get them to wave back.

Discotek announced that they obtained the license for Yoroiden Samurai Troopers and will be releasing it on DVD in February! They also got the OVAS. I've been hoping that they'd rescue the license for it so I'm super happy. I can't wait!

Ditto this. I have a few of the old out of print DVDs and one of the OVAs but never got around to getting the whole set so I'm really looking forward to Discotek's release. Ronin Warriors was one of my gateway series so I have a big soft spot for it. If I didn't already love Discotek for Samurai Pizza Cats and Monster Rancher this would clinch it.

I remember watching it on Toonami. I hope that they can work out the issues with the dub and release Ronin Warriors. Totally wouldn't mind getting both sets! Mostly want the dub for nostalgia's sake but I don't remember it being that bad of a dub tbh.

Discotek is fucking awesome for getting this. I never got a chance to get the old dvds and from what I've heard they weren't the best quality so I'm thankful. Also yay, another YST/RW fan on f!s. :)

I really hope they manage to get the dub too, because I would definitely buy both sets. The dub was pretty decent, all things considered. Characters even got to actually die and everything (Anubis ;_;).

The old DVDs are weird, one side of each disk is the dub and the other is the sub, and putting all that on one disk doesn't lead to the greatest quality in the world. Can't wait to replace them with a shiny box set.

The only thing that I didn't like about the dub was the name changes. Some of them were ridiculous and I never got why they couldn't keep everyone else's original names like they did Ryo. Changing Seiji to Sage was kinda clever though. But even so, I really enjoyed the dub.

That's what I heard so I'm kinda glad I missed out on them. Trying to keep both sides in good shape would be slightly difficult since I'm not used to those kinds of dvds. I'd probably forget that both sides are playable, lol.

God, this is just so nostalgic. Wonder if there's any good fic for the series.

We had snow on Monday, and my friend's kid got to experience it for the first time. It melted as soon as it hit the ground, so there was nothing frolic in, but it was just enough for him to have this confused and terrified look about his face. After a bit of agitated squealing, he wouldn't stop laughing. Was fun :)
And in other good news, Calgary's been having snow storms haha suckers ilu i'm sorry.

Also, customers were really vocal the other day about how awesome the drinks I made were. Whether it was how pretty or tasty (one guy shouted, "IT WAS PERFECT"), it's all going straight to my head, and I'm locking it all in ♥
