(Anonymous) 2014-09-12 01:13 am (UTC)(link)I read Stardust and didn't like, I loved American Gods and Anansi Boys at the time, but a re-read put me off. Wasn't particularly taken with Coraline, or the rest.
After seeing a lot of posts like this one on here, and other places, it always surprises me that Neverwhere seems to be one of the unpopular books by him, because I absolutely love it. It's easily one of my favourite books.
Kind of glad I'm not alone. |D
Re: Same anon!
So far, the only thing I've read of his that didn't really click with me was The Ocean at the End of the Lane. But I adore everything else I've read of his. American Gods, Stardust, Anansi Boys, Coraline, all of his short stories, The Graveyard Book.....Hell, I even have The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish and Wolves in the Walls.
I'm a big fan. *shrugs*
