Yeah I played it. It would be pretty cool if the rest of the game was in that vein, and not the "bash monsters in the head with a piece of plyboard because you killed your little brother and that's been obvious from their first scene in the game" vein.

Played it a few weeks ago. For me it was a resounding "meh". It did feel a little different than the other recent Silent Hill titles so I guess it did it's job vis a vis making me want to see how the actual game is going to be.

I don't like Norman Reedus though, so that makes me want to avoid it.

You know what you want again: more completely unusable controls and Alex Isaac, the most disappointing protagonist in gaming history. (But not the world's worst human.)

...It's true. I do get unreasonably butthurt whenever I'm not allowed to have any kind of an attack button in a game.

Especially if it's reasonable for me to have one, and I just can't like fucking Outlast.

As someone who froths at the mouth at the mere idea of Silent Hill not being a trilogy, I am cautiously optimistic. It helps that I'm a long-time Kojima fan, and a friend of mine who is way into Castlevania but hates Metal Gear was pleasantly surprised by Lords of Shadow so who knows.

Frankly I'm just glad the franchise is going back to Japan. I'm done with Western developers fucking this series up.

It was the first horror game I've ever played that actually legitimately creeped me out. The way they played the atmosphere is AMAZING.

I have no idea how terrified I'd be playing it but it looks pretty amazing and I enjoy the puzzle aspect. They seem a little on the obtuse side though, and sometimes that's fun but sometimes it just feels like the makers are jerking you around. (Anna)

EDIT I just realized I've become what I hate, one of those people who comments even when they have nothing substantial to add oh God mea culpa
