Kinda? I mean, I'm not a history expert, so I will defer to anyone else's expert knowledge here, but from what I can tell through my own research, he's one of the first to present an objective historical account through the effort of using multiple sources. He's also interested in motivation in a way that most of his contemporaries are not.
