Yeah, while I can see where they're coming from, considering that the sacrifice was the Only Way Out, but still, I wish there would have been a possibilty to avoid it. Like (different genre and game mechanics, I know) you had different possibilities to avoid the Final Sacrifice of your PC in Dragon Age Origins.

I actually could have dealt with a instant sacrifice, but what kicked me in the gut so much was the MC's lifeless husk dragging themself on and on just to keep their promise in the end. Just. No.
Or they could have left it open whether the MC actually dies or stays in a coma, that way, there would have been an easier way out.
