So if I were about to go about making an area for original stuff, a sort of writer's corner like was discussed last night....how would I go about doing that? Should I make a thread under Games and Book Club?

If you don't like it you can avoid the thread. This way it's all kept in one place that's easy to avoid.

Honestly as far as I'm concerned this is the best solution. People can keep all talk of OC stuff to these threads unless it comes up somewhere else. That way you don't have to worry about the dreaded OCs and we can talk as much as we want.

So really, it benefits you as well as us.

It would make more sense if you go read some of her writing, I think . . . her OCs are ridiculous bundles of issues with nothing else to them (sometimes bad enough to border on downright offensive), the story settings themselves are rehashed and overdone, and here she is trying to lead a writer's corner? AHAHAHA, no thank you.

Even if all that is true, which I doubt, I don't understand why it bothers you. How does it hurt you to skip the thread?

I don't get all mad when y'all want to talk about manga I've never read and will never read or whatever the thread is I have no interest in.

I think I am way more live and let live than many of y'all, and this just comes across as meanness for meanness sake.

question....which of my ideas are offensive? I really wanna know? I've honestly never seen that critique before.

Some of the 'issues' are based off of me and my own issues. I write characters with issues because I'm a fucking bundle of them. Also just how much of my writing have you read? I've talked a lot about AiD verse which quite frankly is a crapsack world full of dysfunction. So yeah....a lot of people in that world DO have serious issues.

I've updated the descriptions to be a little less issue focused.

Thanks. I tend to be worried when someone makes accusations of offensiveness because I don't want to be the type of person who ignores that kind of thing.

TBH I somewhat expected this sorta thing. I figured someone would object. Some people don't seem to like OCs and others seem to just not like me.

Listen, anon: you can hate on OCs all you want, start your own OCs suck thread in GC if you want! That's fine.

Following around one particular user to bash on them and their OCs all the time isn't cool, though. I'll be deleting your stalker/wank posts from now on.
