Jackie Chan himself was behind the show, I'm pretty sure the point behind Uncle is that he looks stereotypical at first glance, but then he's the single most powerful character on the damn show and equally well-rounded.

I want an Uncle too. Guy knows magic. Who wouldn't want an Uncle who knows positive magic?

I love Uncle. I think his stereotypical mannerisms aren't really reflective of his character as a whole.

Uncle's great! I loved that entire series. It reminded me of a kid's version of Big Trouble in Little China.
