Re: Have you ever ragequit an online community?

A writing community. So what, I forgot to lj-cut my fic and the moderator just deleted my post! She was supposed to be my friend, obviously she's not so fuck her shitty community and her dictatorship.

Huh. Most writing communities have a strict "be nice, cut your posts" policy and enforcing it without plaiying favorites is not a dictatorship. Own up to your mistake and cut your friend some slack.

I guess a warning would have been nice, but if the rule is that if you don't cut your posts, they get deleted, then she was just doing her job. Grow up and get over it.

I agree that a warning would've been nice, but...

1) Why didn't you check your post to make sure everything formatted properly?
2) If she left your post up until you could do something about it, it would screw up everyone's flist until you got around to fixing it.

So if a mod gives someone a little consideration in this scenario, it should be the other members of the community, not the person who made a mistake and didn't bother to doublecheck their post. "Dictatorship", lol.
