There was the Canon Nazi icon with the swastika. For me, that was the turning point--not so much because I was offended by the icon as because I was disgusted by tviokh's completely inane justifications for it, and by how the rest of the fell all over themselves to agree. I was ashamed that I had ever thought this self-important windbag and her ass-kissing community clever.

Now I'm kind of disgusted with myself for belonging to the community just on principle--it was so self-righteous about who did and didn't deserve to write fic.

Tviokh was a wanky shitbag on Fandom Wank, too. Nobody could explain anything to her because she took any criticism at all as an excuse to dig in her heels and be an even bigger asshole. Her mind was made up, so don't confuse the issue with the facts.

Yes, this exactly! But for an intellectual snob with a massive superiority complex, she was oddly clueless about how ridiculous she was making herself.
