I've written out my fan character's stories (background and involvement in the canon plot) in fancy journals, taking the time to integrate them well into the story and also use the opportunity to write out my headcanons and impressions of the story itself. Honestly I think it's great character-developing practice and have fun doing it, but I also feel guilty because I should be focusing on original projects. I just think that it'd be cool to have these journals on a bookshelf years later and be able to reread about these characters.

I do this with my rp characters. I've gone back and found notes from 7 years ago and it made me so happy. Don't regret it if you enjoy it, anon!
