Oh my God, this takes me back. When I was in high school, the popular bishies could be found in Inuyasha, FMA, Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu Yu Hakusho (I can't remember if Hiei or Kurama had the bigger fanbase) and probably a few others. And Wolf's Rain. There was a brief period when Wolf's Rain was my go-to eyecandy.

...Hiei/Kurama? That probably had the bigger fanbase.

Sorry. I'm not sure which character had the bigger fanbase either, now that you mention it. They were both pretty damn popular.

I forgot about Inuyasha, though I got a bit tired of that one and gave up before the halfway point. Inuyasha was extremely pretty though. God, Roy Mustang too... Roy was so sexy to me.

Haaaa, yeah. Hiei/Kurama was pretty huge too.

Inuyasha held my interest for a long time, but I still couldn't finish it. Just like Ranma. Rumiko Takahashi's series just seem to go oooonnn and oooonnn. But it didn't stop me from being a Sesshomaru fangirl along with a good chunk of my friends.

Kurama was the most popular with Hiei as a close secone from what I remember.

For some reason, I thought Hiei was the slightly more popular one. Either way, they got way more attention than Yusuke from what I remember. XD

Nope. It was Kurama. He wss also the most popular in Japan. Yusuke was awesome and it was a pity that he was underappreciated. Ditto Kuwabara, who is the absolute best. But really all of the boys were great.

Poor Kuwabara didn't get as much love because he wasn't a conventional bishie, but I agree that he was awesome.

... Man, now I just want to re-watch/re-read YYH. Guess I got something to put on in the background while I make dinner! :D

He may have not been a conventional pretty boy, but he was handsome. Especially later in the series when the art got better. He did look a bit odd in earlier episodes.

I need to get around to rewatching it. Hell, I need to get around to buying it. Bought single dvds, but never got around to buying the complete box sets.

Viz actually just announced a total reprint of the series and digital release for some of the early volumes a couple of days ago. I watched it once, but it may be time to make the investment on the manga for that kind of deal.
