International shipping company

Hi guys,

Does anyone know a good company to send stuff from the UK to mainland Europe? I was going to use Send My Bag, but they only come to pick the boxes up during the week and can't give an estimated time for the pick-up, which doesn't work for me.


I'm only sending one box below 30kg. The only other site I found so far would charge £50 for the box and I don't even know when they would come around for collection. :/

If you live in the US, I would suggest going into a UPS store and dropping off the item with them to be shipped. I've done it before to send stuff to Europe and it worked well.

I even once had to overnight something (it was RIDICULOUSLY expensive, but I wasn't paying) and it turned out fine.

No problem, happens to the best of us. :) There's actually a UPS store not too far from me! I'll have to see what their rates are.

Try asking at your local post office. If they don't send packages that heavy (I know that from my country I can send international packages weighing up to 20 kg through the post office, but it might be different in the UK), maybe they know some company that can help you.

I work for the Post Office in the UK- We can take anything up to 2kg with Royal Mail and 30kg with Parcelforce, but if it's going to be that heavy and going to Europe, I reckon you're going to be looking at £50 for surface. If you want it to go by airmail, double that cost and then some. It'd be tracked and guaranteed, but it isn't cheap with us.

I just checked online for DHL- looks like that wouldn't be any cheaper, actually.
