Wooaaah, I remember watching those when I was in high school. Which was ten years ago... oh my god... Remember when we had Toonami? And when Rurouni Kenshin was also popular? Same with Saint Seiya in Latin America. Holy shit I'm feeling old. /shakes cane

And if I'm not wrong, we're also the first generation to grow up online? /shakes virtual cane

Saint Seiya was very popular in the 80s here in the States. I had lots of friends who adored that series.

Really? I heard the tried to (re?)introduce it in the early 2000's but it never took off.

I remember them showing it on TV here in around mid-00s, but it was a series that never interested me, so I didn't pay attention to it. I was kind of surprised they were showing it, actually, but didn't know if it was a remake or the original series (yes, that's how much I'd paid attention to it in the first place).

I remember watching a couple of episodes from the US, and they censored a lot of things like blood and major violence.

I'm sure they did. During the 80s, it was coming in bootleg on VHS. I saw it at the anime club I belonged to, IIRC. Maybe at Dragon*Con? It's been a while.
