I worry all the time that my characters are really all basically me, and they agree with me too much.

I had plans for an antagonist character, who was supposed to pretty much hate my viewpoint characters, and be kind of socially conservative, and I've barely used him, partly because the characters I was going to oppose him to went in different directions, and then because when trying to write him I still ended up making him a bit left-of-center (that is, kind of agreeing with me on economics) because I didn't want him to be a total stupid caricature.

Yeah. :(
