I have a list of female characters that I adore and I also have an archetype that I like (short, spunky smartmouthed protagonist). But I've come to like other archetypes as well (like the gentle childhood friend). There are a few series that really do it well with male characters but that's usually ROMCOM dating simulations (or so I've noticed)
