Here's the thing: if you don't actually need nicer clothes, nicer shoes, and a nicer car (which you really don't, unless a) it's a requirement of your job; or b) the clothes, shoes, and car that you do have are falling apart), then spending your money on those things isn't actually any more responsible than spending your money on games. It's just more socially acceptable.

As you've said, your discretionary income is yours to do with as you wish. Don't worry about it.

I totally agree with this. Was about to say a similar thing. Unless anon is only living on instant ramen because they bought too many games and there was no money left, I don't see the problem.
