Triggers: Eating Disorders (not mine)

You know the drill...

First, that should be "trigger warning", not "triggers." Sorry. :/ If I weren't anon I'd edit.

My question is this - is it a sign of anorexia if someone cuts their food into really, really small pieces? I've noticed a friend doing this lately, and I think she has a history of eating disorders. (I don't know for sure - she's withheld from eating, but I don't know whether this was anorexia or part of her depression.) She's very thin too, although then again, so am I and I don't have an eating disorder so I don't want to go by that.

Of course, typing this all out I think maybe I'm being paranoid anyway.

Possibly.

It can be. It's isn't always though.

If there's a history, then yes, I'd be worried.

I'm guilty of this and I don't in any way have an eating disorder.

But if your friend has a history, then you probably have a right to be concerned about this change in behavior.
