Yup! Still have the first one on Xbox so I don't own a PC version (yet), but KOTOR is one of my favorite RPG's. KOTOR2...is not as good (hahaha, that's an understatement) but I still liked it.

NGL, I do see why some people shit on it just because it could have been so much more. It's already a decent game even unfinished, and it DOES include some fucking brilliant bits, so looking back on it is kind of frustrating. If everything had been put together 'properly' it would've been outstanding.

Still, I've played games (much) less memorable than KOTOR2, so I feel like it doesn't deserve true hate.

(I just ignore everything that comes after KOTOR2 because I can't deal.)

You can ramble all you want! The mandalorians were one of my favorite parts of KOTOR2 too. And Canderous in general made both games delightful; I can't imagine what the games would've been like without him. Tbh I kind of wish he had been a love interest...

Kreia was such a waste! Or, well, there was so much more they should've explored with her that I'm sure was left out. The end of the game was a big disappointment; I just wish everything had been completed and tied together properly.

I feel that way about the whole game, though. It was great but it could've been spectacular. There wasn't nearly enough dialogue with your party, and I'd have liked to see them change more. (Especially Atton. Would've liked to see more of him as a Jedi.)

Everything I hear about KOTOR from friends of mine is that 2 is better because Obsidian made it, despite it being unfinished.

I'll have to take their word for it. I have KOTOR 1 in my Steam list and it's going to sit unplayed forever because Star Wars and I don't get along.

If I'm going to be totally honest, I think I enjoy the KOTOR games more than the films themselves. And I grew up with those films, so to me... Idk, you probably wouldn't like it because the verse itself isn't something you enjoy, but they're excellent games.

I'll never understand liking KOTOR2 more, though. That game was fun and had lots of great potential but most of that potential was unrealized. It was an unfinished, buggy mess. A hot mess, but still a mess. I'd say it's still much better than some RPG's, but only half as good as the original. But that's just my opinion. (I probably make it sound like I hate the game, but that isn't it; I just recognize its faults.)
