Okay, I hate admitting this
(Anonymous) 2014-09-15 12:16 am (UTC)(link)I don't know if it's that I studied literature in school, and became used to books being assignments, if it's that now I work all day so don't have the energy to read when I get home, if the internet's a distraction, or what.
The weird thing is that when I DO get into books, I can't stop reading. But the occasions are rare and far apart, and there's no real pattern - it's not like that's only happened with historical fiction or romance or anything else. It just either happens or it doesn't.
In a way I blame this on the fact that I never really pushed myself to read a variety of genres as a kid - I read a lot, but always within the same series. So I think that has a bit to do with it, too.
Anyone else have this problem?
