I don't know, I've always felt like Tennant's Doctor is overrated as hell. He was nice, but it felt like he overstayed his welcome (imo) so I obviously took his departure much better than he - the Doctor who can freaking regenerate and wouldn't die so chill - even did. ('I don't wanna go'? No please, do go already).

I feel like Capaldi's Doctor took the good characteristics of most of the previous Doctors and made up his own. You can almost see every incarnation of the Doctor in him and that's nice. Not to mention he is really hot too for a 56-year-old.

I'd say he only overstayed his welcome by 15 minutes. Rose on the other hand, she overstayed her welcome by three seasons.

I loved that they mocked this in the 50th anniversary special. "He always says that." LOL.
