Exactly. I'm in Brian/Justin (Queer As Folk - love that picture, OP!) fandom, and over the years, we've only had a half dozen or so male fic writers that I'm aware of. And two of the most prominent ones, who supposedly fell in love with each other, turned out after several years to have both in fact been the same one woman.
