Re: Is this attitude racist or xenophobic?
but honestly, don't worry about it, I had an inkling before googling itRe: Is this attitude racist or xenophobic?
But oh frak, Vigrid has a party? And it's received actual votes (very few, but still)?
Vengeance achieved, sir or madame. Vengeance achieved.
Re: Is this attitude racist or xenophobic?
Well they aren't anymore (as the leader got sick and said it was done , which it isn't), but reading the Norwegian Wiki page I learnt something more: In 2009 they managed to get registered as a party* and in one of the counties and during the Mock School Election* it was included and in one school it got 10% of the votes.
*500 signatures is what you need to be a registered political party
*In High School we "vote" to prepare ourselves for the real voting we will do when we turn 18, and it works like a real election, except it doesn't count.
Re: Is this attitude racist or xenophobic?
We have something similar in the US. During every presidential election, there's a "voting day" for students (the results aren't announced anywhere outside of the school, however. At least, as far as I'm aware).
Re: Is this attitude racist or xenophobic?
Oh ours are countrywide and such, and the result is usually pretty similar to the real election. Also politicians come to the school and have panels where they discuss questions and we can ask them stuff, and they remind us of the youth section of their political party and tell us we should join them and so on.
