I'm pretty sure it's about Anita Sarkeesia; some of the more blatant trolls have started calling her Anita 'Sharkskin', I guess because having an odd-sounding name is something worth being shamed over?

Which, come on- she creates Feminism 101 Youtube shorts on the internet. The only 'drama' about here is the one people have manufactured. Like her stuff or don't, but trying to claim some 'moral gray area' between a Youtube personality and the people sending her family death threats is bizarre.

Just changing a few letters of a name to create a word that's not even offensive isn't shaming and there is a middle ground between "all the bullshit she pulled is no big deal and she can do no wrong" and 'I totally support sending her death threats". It's possible to criticise her and still think that death threats / threats to her family are fucked up.

Actually it wasn't about her. I've only been mildly aware of what's been going down. I just picked a shark picture to be honest.
