Let it go, OP. It's too late to get any of your money back. The artist is going to wonder why you were fine with the art for months and then seemingly out of the blue decided you were unhappy with it and are now asking for a partial refund. If you had an issue with the art, the time to make that known was when it was first presented to you.

... I'm not asking for a refund.

(I secretly think a refund is in order, but I'm not going to ask for one. Hence the secret, in which I am venting.)

Ah, sorry. You mentioned feeling as though you deserved a partial refund so I figured you were considering asking them for it.

I agree it sucks but at least you know not to go to this person in the future since you didn't end up liking the piece.

AYRT

No, you've pretty much stated you wanted a refund without actually saying so. Especially in your parentheses there. Don't even try to hide it anymore, OP.

NOP
Saying one wants a refund and saying they're asking for a refund ate very different things.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-17 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. That's a nice slice of trolling considering you aren't the person that OP was replying to.

Nice.

A person can want their money back, and yet rationally know they won't, and so they won't try asking.

Gosh what a hard concept this idea of wanting something and knowing you can't have it

It's almost like we learn this as children when mommy or daddy won't give us a candy bar even after throwing a tantrum

Next time you want to pretend to be ayrt, make sure they haven't already replied. :)

You sound like a defensive asshile. You're probably a shitty artist yourself.

OP, sorry you're stuck with shitty art.
