iOS 8.0

Has anyone upgraded their iPhone to 8.0? I know, I should have waited but I went all in. I am confused on some things. You can now see a list of recent contacts when tapping the home button twice. But weirdly I'd like to go that away or find a way to edit it. I don't use a lot of texting or phone, mostly internet or apps. So to see the same recents is a bit 'make it go away'.

I've read the new Health app that got put on still has some bugs to work out, the HealthKit had to go into surgery for fixes first. http://www.tuaw.com/2014/09/17/the-ios-8-health-app-what-can-you-do-with-it-today/ But one item you can use is a Medical ID. You can view it when the lock screen is on, but I've never set up a passcode. So I can't view it on the lock screen. I take it there's no way to view it since there's no passcode? I realize it sounds like 'duh…' but hey, me and technology get weird.

Haven't updated yet (I always hold out for ages), but don't you still have to swipe to "unlock" the phone, even if you don't type in a passcode after? Is that where you can view the Medical ID? Sorry I can't be more specific, since I don't actually have a way to view any of it...

You do swipe to unlock it, but I'm at the home screen since I didn't set up the passcode. From what it sounds to me is that if I did have the passcode, then when I swiped, at the screen to enter the code, but there's a button to view the Medical ID.

So I guess if you don't have the code set up, you can't view the Medical ID immediately and you instead have to go into the app. Which kind of is bad if you are in an emergency. Hm.

If you're doing any sort of personal things on your phone (e.g., storing phone contacts, checking email, etc), it's really best to have a passcode on it just in case it gets misplaced...
