Assuming they're not too proud of the piece, I can see why they wouldn't bother to show it off. Way too late to even think of a redo though, since for all they knew was that you were happy with what you got. Should have mentioned it when you got it! (but I can understand why someone might not want to be that kind of customer haha)

What you mentioned in the thread though, about the artist not providing progress pics to make sure it's coming along to your satisfaction, bothers me though. It's a bonus for sure, but I'd rather know ahead of time what the general look of what I'm paying for will be than be disappointed by surprise.
