Counterstrike. I was on dialup at the time and I hated that CS was taking up most of the Half-Life fandom's attention and I couldn't play. I remember being furious because the Half-Life 2 installer would crash if you unchecked the "install Counter-Strike Source" option. This wouldn't be so bad if it didn't crash on the 4th CD (lmao welcome to 2004.)

I actually like CS now. I don't play it as much, but I still enjoy it.

Shitty connections have ruined many a game for me. I almost gave up on WoW because my college network was so terrible, I'd get like 2k lag. Thank god they upgraded it my second year.
