(Anonymous) 2014-09-18 12:01 am (UTC)(link)I always assumed Fenimore Cooper's Literary Offenses was exaggerating. The book could not really be that bad. It couldn't.
I stand corrected. The several pages devoted to the lake in the first chapter were really the first clue; there have been several.
