I'm reading Last of the Mohicans for English class now.

I always assumed Fenimore Cooper's Literary Offenses was exaggerating. The book could not really be that bad. It couldn't.

I stand corrected. The several pages devoted to the lake in the first chapter were really the first clue; there have been several.
