Cultural appropriation?

If you are honestly laying claim, like a new ager white chick who claims 1/78th part cherokee and is doing honest to goodness spirit walks then that is not okay. If you are the same white chick going to a fancy dress party as pocahontas, then that is just a bit of fun and is. You're not taking a culture, just a costume.

Same with religion. Want to do that spirit walk as a white dude, yeah as long as you admit that it isn't your heritage. Start claiming it is so that makes it okay to put a fucking crow on your head, then no.

Its all about honesty and sincerity. You need plenty of one and none of the other.

Easy guide, if you've got a parent that qualifies then you can qualify, but no further back than that.
