I think the author is working hard to set up the worldbuilding for later books, and she's a little stilted while doing it due to the limited perspective. So far what I've read would encourage me to try the next book. It cerqngrf gung sng byq dhrra, it used to be used on usenet all the time. Newsreaders had a built in rot13 cyphering tool. Not even Firefox has that now, wish it did though.

NYART but rot13 is a simple cipher where you just go down 13 letters in the alphabet and replace all the letters of your message thusly. Try http://www.degraeve.com/rot13.php It does all the work for you =D

Thanks, anon!

I think I'll refrain from translating it for now since I don't know where airt's spoilers start, but I'll go back and do it after I finish the book, if I think about it.

Also, I will have to keep that resource in mind for future use. I'm surprised I haven't seen it before.

Also rot13.com just has a field where you paste in cyphered text, hit the "cypher" button, and it translates it for you. Similarly, if you type or paste in some normal text and hit "cypher" it will cypher it for you.

About a third to a half the way in, more or less.

If you go to http://rot13.com/ and just paste the gibberish in, and hit the button then it'll de-cypher it for you.

It is nothing too spoilerly, not key plot points but more a comment on general worldbuilding. It would probably have been fine in the clear, but I figured I'd rot13 it just in case.

Amazing that rot13 has been so forgotten. It used to be so common back in the geocities age of the internet.
