It's not so much what they do, so much as didn't do, which is checking their sources. They are just factually wrong and spreading misinformation in some cases, which makes me think they do more harm than good.

I agree with the base premise: yes, we often do not realize there was more colour, even in Europe in the past. But if you set out to prove that, damn at least make sure you don't pull stuff out of your ass.
