AYRT -I definitely think there was some romantic jealousy too, I just don't think that was the entire point.

I totally agree with that. It was mostly about Rose realizing she wasn't the first (and that the Doctor dumped Sarah Jane back on Earth) and Sarah Jane missing traveling with the Doctor. I didn't see any romance on her part either (even though there was the spoiling her for other men bit, I still think it was mostly just about the Doctor being amazing and not necessarily that she was in love with him).
