Okay, going anon for this just in case.

Sooo...short synopsis.

I sometimes interview celebrities - often minor, local ones. While I was doing my internship I tried to contact members of this band for an interview and ended up being in contact with a DJ that became part of their line-up.

The interview never happened because reasons, so I basically forgot about it.

But, I added this dude of Facebook and never removed him because I have a big network anyway.

So, fast forward about 2 years. There's this dude that keeps messaging me with "hi" and coming on to me. I ignore him mostly, but every now and then there's "hi". I consider tossing him off my friends list, but by this time I'm fascinated at how long he's going to keep the unanswered "hi" up (answer: for over a year now).

So today I'm like: who are you even? And, I basically realize it's this DJ. And since I actually replied this time, he went full-on with bafflingly cringe-worthy pickup-lines starting with "are you a model", escalating to "do you like sex" and ending with "I want to eat your pussy". And, realizing who this dude is, I'm just watching it unfold as a trainwreck.

It's like the absolutely most awkward, horrible attempt at a pick-up I've seen since I was 17 or so.

And it's weird, because on one hand I'm strangely flattered, because seriously, why even me. He thousands of "friends" on FB, some of them very classically-pretty nubile blondes - and I'm this chubby chick who passed 30. So, it's just odd that he'd even dig me.

But man, it's just sort of tragic and weird. This dude is pretty successful as far as it goes, and yet he's worse than a pathetic teen on Facebook chat.

I feel like I ended up in some bizarre universe where nothing makes sense.

Meet up with him, keep your phone on record, then sell the story to a British tabloid. There is no celeb minor enough for them not to pay for your story.

I'd recommend not going anywhere near him, but I think Jezebel will pay for the Facebook messages. It's a good way to humiliate the sleazy twerp.

Nor sure I want to go there, but I do have everything on record.

That's tricky, we're not actually in the same country and though I could probably get him to fly me over, I don't want to be stuck in a foreign country with that dude.
