I'm not a Steve/Peggy shipper (although, given the choice between the major het pairings with Steve, I'd choose Steve/Peggy), but I loved that scene. Peggy shuts him down because he not only insinuated that she's a whore, but he did that solely to delegitimize her hurt at seeing him kiss Natalie Dormer's character.

How in the world did Steve EVER insinuate that she's a whore?

She says that he's always wanted to be a soldier and now he is just like the rest. Right there SHE is the one making assumptions about his behavior.

And so Steve replies by asking her how he's supposed to know that she and Howard haven't been fonduing.

And being hurt at seeing him kiss another women would be fine. FUCKING SHOOTING HIM IS NOT. And given that Steve never promised her anything, nor were they an item, she has the right to be hurt, but she can't act betrayed. Because that's bull.
