A few years ago I might've thought you were getting a string of bad apples, but honestly after going back to college as a mature student I'd say you're not an asshole.

Every person I've interacted with that was nice to talk with I find out they're in their mid-20s or older. The ones that have made questionable comments, played games on their iphones when we needed to work, and constantly complained about reasonable expectations have been around 19-21. I don't find that entitled, but they seem to be unaware of how to communicate with people.
