That's the thing for me. Peggy was mad at him, so she just wanted to scare him, she is an expert marksperson, she knew nothing was going to happen, she just wanted to make him sweat.

But since she was mad out of jealousy, everybody is getting up in arms about how OOT it was. For me, I do feel Peggy was the kind of person to do a stunt like that if someone got en her bad side (remember the scene when she punched the soldier that disrespected her?) Had not been out of jealousy, had not been Steve, i'm pretty sure she would have fire that bullet to someone that vexed her.

So just because it was out of jealousy it's like the worst.

Yes, it was petty, but no one is perfect, and Peggy is reckless. So honestly, if you say it was OOT or that it "ruined her character" it is you the one with the problem, not her.

Jealousy is a normal feeling, and I get it is so overused as a trope and as drama and people are tired of it, but here it is definitely how to choose to see it instead of just going "the worst"
