Mention stuff on here that looks cool, like maybe a secret here you found funny or something. See if there's anything here that they'd be interested in, like a kinkmeme or fandom community. Uhh, ask them? IDK.

Commenting on posts in communities (fic, fanart, gifs, etc) of people who have similar tastes as you (ships, fav char, whatever),? I made an acquaintance that way.

Uh, if there are any active communities in your fandom I find that helps? Comment regularly if you can, see if any discussions happen and when you find someone you're interested in, ask to be friends.

(I know that's pretty simple, but that seems to be the easiest way.)
