I recently signed up for it- do you have any experience, or tips for it?
For example, how many questions should one answer in your opinion?

Be very specific, no matter how silly and anal it seems. Otherwise you'll get a lot of creeps or people not really looking for anything serious. You may get a few anyway.

I don't mean specific as in reveal a lot of information, I mean be very clear about what you want. If you say "I like movies", you'll get 400 people who also say "I like movies" and they'll have nothing in common with you.

I love answering the questions, so I've answered a lot. I'm too hesitant to actually make connections, though, so I haven't done much besides tinker with my profile and read messages I don't often reply to. It's not all creeps, though.

understandable. I only signed up when somebody told me it's easy to make friends on the site- that took the pressure off, now I don't have a problem with contacting people.

Baloney. Some of the best relationships of my life started on OkCupid.
