Not really. Getting a degree shows that you're at least responsible enough to pass four years of classes, and--in specialized fields--smart enough to be where you're at. If your position has a chance of advancement to a supervisor position, the college is even more important.

While you think you could have done your job at 18, no one would have hired you. You can think college for them giving you the chance at least.
