Good god before this shitstorm starts again, let's put it out there: she's not anti-vax, although she does question every shot like any thinking person should, and her kids are not vaccinated because they had a relative with a bad reaction.

nah. she is a spokesperson for those holistics only parents. She has not outright said she is against them, but it is pretty much fact.

DA

So I just spent whatever amount of time looking this up from the time I read the first comment, and have to agree with other anon. She's said she has gotten some vaccines (Polio being one of them), but she advocates people doing research and considering their options and talking to their doctors and ultimately making the decision that is best for your own family.

Oh, anti-vaccination...I thought she had something against orange hoovers :/

I thought you'd welcome a chance to wade back into the foray. You seemed so proud of your troll-- ahem, I mean, "playing devil's advocate" efforts before. ;)

You're a fucking cancer and stella is the chemo.

I am genuinely surprised by how many fandom people freak out over anti-vaccination. It's generally something I would class as being right up the average fandom SJWs alley and yet ... people hate it vehemently! It might possibly be a cultural thing with Americans, as I don't come across nearly as many anti-"anti-vax" people outside of Americans (ancedotal evidence, of course), but still.

Which SJWs are the ones who support killing strangers' kids again?

Seriously, Polio was kind of a big deal here. Even your hardest core, "we are all transgender unicorn moonchildren" types tend to cut the crap when faced with the memoirs of someone who spent 60 years in an iron lung.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-24 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Um, almost all of them outside of tumblr/ontd/similar sites with similar people of similar education/ignorance posting? It's a choice people make based on their own life/how they choose to be educated on the subject. Your question smacks of being an SJW who doesn't get what an issue this is.

I'm convinced if you still frequently people with the after effects of polio around the anti-vaccination movement wouldn't be a thing.
