The Hollows Spoilers

OP

Well, *rubs temples* the trainwreck IMO really doesn't get bad until you find out that the main character is a actually a female Demon due to DNA tinkering due to her illness. From there it progressively got worse with making her more and more powerful, having her blood be special, almost turning her into a goddess in the second to last book, and having her have magic in the last book when no one else does. That's power wise. I don't know how much you care about love interests and who you're rooting for, however the person she ends up with in the end is not set up at all well and doesn't really happen to once again the second to last book in the series. Given the self doubt about said relationship permeated the entire LAST book, the "happily ever ending" right now feels very tacked on.

That's just Rachel. I don't know how to get into Ivy.

Plus, she killed off two very beloved characters. The second one served no purpose whatsoever other than to give Rachel angst.

And let's not forget that some of the books, you literally have to read the short stories to get the plot. Fortunately now they're in one volume but as she was writing the books, they weren't, so yeah, it can get confusing.

You have anything more specific you want to know?

Actually, Ivy was my favourite character... Do you mind letting me know how bad that goes? Or is it so bad that you think I should just pull the plug now and ask no further questions?

Oh dear. I think I know the answer to this but who?
