NAYRT: I'm not an expert on brains, but I'm an expert on my own kids. And I'll tell you that my 7 year old has understood movies as more than moving colors and shapes for a few years now. The 4 month old likes the colors and shapes, though.(I normally don't advocate letting babies watch tv, but he has really bad reflux and it helps distract him enough to have his bottles, and his eating is more important to me.) Even as a 3 year old she'd watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Yo Gabba Gabba and respond to them and understand.

Weren't both her kids developmentally slow or something, and she refused to get treatment for them even though the doctors recommended it? Because she was proud to raise them at their own pace or whatever?
