To be honest, I think Amy Winehouse really was something quite special. She wrote very raw, very true lyrics and combined them with a powerful musicality and unique style. It's possible that if she had lived longer, she would have disappointed, but she was great while she was here.

(And for the record, she had two albums).

One of her big songs was a cover ('Valerie') and the only other song of hers I'm aware of sounds like a sub-par Adele cover.

Well, I'm sorry you're ignorant of her catalog, but I'm not sure how that's relevant to her talent or lack thereof. And you do realize Adele came after, right? As in, Amy Winehouse paved the way for her?

Seems a matter of opinion, there. Her two albums were critical successes. I mean omg it's like the person who made the secret was biased!!
