But wasn't her exact cause of death pinned as "quitting alcohol (or something) cold turkey when her body was too damaged to take the sudden shock?"

Not that drugs and alcohol weren't a factor in that (they absolutely were)

No, she'd got off alcohol entirely and was sober, then had a relapse and died. It's a really, really common way for addicts to die, because they get entirely clean, then take their old dose of the drug in question and (since this time they haven't worked up to it over some years) they die. I had a friend die this way and it was a terrible shock because she'd been doing so well.

Corey Monteith for one.Went to rehab in April (I think) for a month, then OD'd in July because he'd taken what he had before.
